Caroline Madden, PhD is Los Angeles based pro-marriage therapist and internationally known author and lecturer on infidelity in marriage. She is the author of four relationship books including: Blindsided By His Betrayal, Fool Me Once: Should I Take Back My Cheating Husband? and After a Good Man Cheats: How to Rebuild Trust & Intimacy With Your Wife.
Madden graduated in 1993 from Cornell University with a BS in Labor Relations and worked for a number of years in Labor Relations/Human Resources in the private sector and government. She believes that her extensive training in conflict resolution and collective bargaining gave her tools to later as a Marriage Therapist help even the most difficult couples.
In 2001, Madden earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute. Her training covered all areas of psychotherapy but centered on relationship dynamics. In her training to become a therapist, she worked in a variety of settings… including jail. Again, she feels this training has helped her understand difficult marriages (cellmates for life) better.
Since opening her private practice in 2001, Madden has focused her couples counseling on helping people save their marriages after infidelity. After the publishing of her books, Madden began Relationship Coaching to help couples from outside the State of California.
In 2017, she earned her Doctorate in Holistic Counseling from the University of Sedona. Her dissertation discussed the merits of meditation to alleviate Post Affair Trauma Symptoms in wives.
Madden is the married mother of two young boys. She’s been in the same loving relationship for almost two decades and understands first-hand that even the best relationships take work.
